New Local Punk Band Moving Towards Dreams

Joseph Dopirak - a.k.a. "Jopesak"
    of the Norwin Knight Krier

Starting as a dream in the minds of Marc Tokarski, Brandon Hreah, and
Scott Smith in eighth grade and a practice in this reporter’s basement,
their band ALT has taken it’s first steps to becoming a reality.
Marc and Scott began practicing together without a bassist. Brandon still
had a lot of learning to do, so they managed without him.  Their friend
Christian Mullooly then joined the band as another guitarist in addition to
Marc.
Within two weeks, ALT was established and were asked to play at a
friend’s birthday party.
"Music takes a big part in our lives and being able to play it in front of
our friends makes it that much better," said Christian, "It was encouraging
to hear people say that we did good."
Their next show included their own song, "Hook, Line and Heartbreak" but had
a not so great outcome. They had faulty cable, broke a guitar string and
broke a cymbal.
"Things didn’t go right," said guitarist Marc. "It happens.
It’s like riding a bike.  You ride for a while, start feeling good,
then, BAM! You crash.  You whine like a little girl for a while, then you get
back up and keep riding."
After their non-satisfactory show, ALT’s current plans are to start
working on their EP that should come out around Christmas with all original
songs.  They have a lot of hope, but their goals are not written in stone.
"We just want to meet Carson Daily," said drummer Scott Smith. "And if you
want to know what ALT means, ask Adrienne D’razio"
